Anyone owned one of these? Any advice on what they are like to drive? Own, and any issues etc?

PH reviewed one a few years ago and I think may have had one their fleet.

Very reliable, great handling, decent spec and not expensive to buy or keep. Not exactly brimming with power and the nav unit is clunky.

I had the mk1 for a year or so and now my mum has it. It's great to drive, handles excellently and good fun to stick in to the bends.

It's not that fast but feels plenty quick enough, it's quite light etc. And has an old school hooligan hot hatch feel to it.

Terrible on the motorway or long trips because it's very noisy in the cabin.

The newer version has a sixth gear which helps make this better, and it's also loaded with kit compared to the older version but apparently it's a little bit less fun.

The one I had and now my mum has has been pretty reliable only needing a catalytic converter which can't be helped and some pads in around two years of us both owning it.

Thanks, yeah my brother is looking at one, said that he likes the look of them, all the reviews from what I have read online about the new one, think it was a 2012 - 2013 that he looked at have said that they are great. I also like that they are not that common, and a bit different. They also dont have a stupid bodykit on them, and I think are more reliable than the French smile

Gf owned a newer one for a year. Tremendous dampening and chassis. Old school fun, economical too.

The boot is tiny, that might not be a consideration though.

Boot does not bother me, as I dont do much shopping. And I have some back seats.
