Nice touch. I got promised a model GT4 but it never materialised - couldn't even get an allocation for the toy version!

I got a boot liner for my Cayenne...which I actually ordered from the parts dept but the salesman got wind and gave it to me as my delivery gift. Gave the kids Porsche USB sticks for the rear screens too!

A patronising piece of cheap black plastic to make you feel good about spending many thousands of pounds on a fine automobile. :-)

Either that or one of the obelisk's from 2001 a space Odyessy

Got mine too. A very nicely made total waste of money and resources! If they want to give out gifts I can think of many nicer things! Invite to purchase a GT2 RS perhaps..!

Not cheap plastic though. Metal of some sort.

I got the same tat yesterday. What a waste of time/money/effort/postage that was.

It took pride of place on the mantlepiece * to reaffirm my wker status.

THIS!! 100% this. I've never been able to find a model of any car I have owned - always the wrong colour, etc. I'd open my wallet right now if I could get a 1:43 or 1:18 in the same spec as my car.

I bought two cars from Porsche East London (the old Stratford site) and they gave me a model of the car I was buying each time (in the correct colour) as a gift on pick up day. One car I picked up on my 40th birthday and I also got a nice Porsche espresso set and a bottle of Champagne. The salesman was very apologetic that he'd forgotten the bunch of flowers for my wife so had a bunch delivered to my house a day or so later.

....I guess I'm not negotiating on the car price hard enough!!

I'll get a photo of my 997 GTS and Spyder models to make you all jealous! wink

Thanks for the link above - couldn't find my car, but found an 'S' that was quite close.

Poster above - sounds like you got lots of gifts! I got a smile and a handshake when I collected my CGTS.Admittedly I wasn't buying brand new, but I was paying almost list price! Ha ha.

Knowing Porsche there's probably a option box I ticked for "Free Gift on collection - £500.00" and didn't notice.
