993tt to 996tt
Discussion
I'm thinking about selling my 993tt and getting a 996tt. I prefer the exterior of the 993tt but prefer the interior, toys and creature comforts of the 996tt. Car to be used mostly as a weekend toy and probably 4 or 5 trackdays a year.
I thought about this 12mths ago and decided not to as I felt that 996tt prices would tumble. I was right, but can they go much lower in the next 12mths?
Advise please!!
Would I get much more for mine if I sold it privately compared to a dealer bid?

If it's a weekend car, why does creature comfort and gadgets matter? I'd want a rawer, more driver-oriented experience.
Out of interest when selling a 993TT to dealers what are you likely to get?
Not that I would ever consider a 993TT in black with a sports exhaust system, tweaked to push out a little more than the standard 408bhp, mind

Barry,
I suspect they have a small descent ahead of them, yet and if not, they certainly will once the sniffer dogs are out for the new variant.
They are remarkable cars and corresponding value, even so and I would certainly urge you to trade up, assuming you can emotionally detatch yourself from the fortnoxian clunkiscity of the 993.

It will be interesting to see what you think of the change after 6 months....in terms of 911 ownweship i went from 1989-2002 (new) back to an air cooled 1995.
Personally I find the older cars have much more character. Maybe you will to, but you have to make the change to find out..enjoy the experience.
