We are becoming the "chic" alternative movie spot for the moment; come by and sign up for an extra. You know we always love an English accent in our films!

Interesting...

You will NEVER BELIEVE what the studios did for good old Orlando Florida in the mid 80's, however.

The old Orlando Police Department uniforms and cars used to be a fetching shade of sh!t brown. Well the studios didn't like that (more on why later), so they went to the city of Orlando and said "We think your PD needs an overhaul - nice blue/black uniforms - nice white cars with blue-ish logos - the badges (used to be stars) need some enhancement as well.

The city said "Well, we have x number of cops, and y number of cars, etc, etc - too expensive".

The studios all said "Oh, you don't understand - we will pay for it" - and they did.

But why?

Well, next time you visit Orlando, look at a policeman's uniform and badge. On camera, at a glance, they bear a striking resemblance to the LAPD kit. Why is that good for the studios - easy - they start shooting in LA and finish it in Florida (which is cheaper).

All of this started happening right around the time when they filmed Lethal Weapon 2 here. Destroyed the old courthouse downtown for the movie...
