I've drawn a blank on this wee fella abandoned on top of a container in Scotland. It doesn't appear to be a Fairthorpe, Berkeley or Falcon so I'm turning to the PH massive who I'm sure are more knowledgeable than me Apologies for the carp pic quality.

1940's Ford wheels?
Rochdale ST - I think had wheel arches with a widening gap behind the wheel .. i.e. a corner cut off rather than following the wheel.... if that makes any sense.

Certainly looks like it could be a Rochdale, though the front arch radius is different to the ST on the website link.

Yup agree ... is it going to be rescued ?

It falls into the Specials section of the Fairthorpe Owners Club looked after by Richard Disbrow and he'll know who else has one ... looks like they had Ford underpinnings from the link ... any chance of seeing what the chassis is like ??

It's at a caravan site to the north of Oban and has been there for many years by the looks of it. I'll contact Richard Disbrow and let him know about it. He may already be aware of it of course.

I think it's a Ford Ten based Markham Peasey Sabre
(the Super Sabre was the Austin 7 version: note the Ford wheels in the PWC picture and the A7 wheels in the advert).

Inevitably with these 1950s specials the word "Super" usually signals the involvement of Les Montgomery's SUPER ACCESSORIES
(e.g. Super 750, Super Sabre, Super Sportsman, Super Two, Super Three).

Good spot.

I find these Fifties/Sixties specials rather intriguing for some reason. Lots of enthusiastic guys working away in little lock-ups producing cars based on mainstream models and which had very little prospect of commercial success in most cases. British eccentricity at its best
