Thought it had to be - good time. Looked good round the first lefthander where I was watching - difficult corner and lots were making a dogs breakfast of it.

You have to feel, although the Mono beat it, that both they (and Radical of course) might be a tad disappointed they didn't do better.

I will admit to a degree of smugness that a Seven can outpace some daft million quid folly like a Vulcan and probably costs the same as a Vulcan owner's hairdressing budget

Weirdly, it seemed that no many were particularly on it. The Mono should have been significantly quicker (as should the Radical), and it says it all that the R8 V10 Plus on road tyres was considerably quicker than many of the racing cars. It was a solid 7s quicker than the GT4 McLaren 570S..... A shame that so many in the shootouts seemed to shy away from going for a proper time...
