Considering a dash cam but no real knowledge on the best makes or models out there.
Have seen you can pick them up from a tenner to several hundred quid, so just wondering what ones PH use, and what you rate them?
Lots of conflicting reviews on the usual Amazon eBay etc, so just after any info or review from someone on here who has recently bought one...

I have a couple in three different cars. Of the two I have the Transcend Drivepro 200 Dash Cam comes out best. Its been used in a couple of insurance claims and the Police on the last occasion said the quality was excellent and was used to convict the other driver. I would show the video but I'm not sure the effect on the current case.
I don't know much about dashcams but I am into my gadgets I generally find midrange items seem to be the sweet spot in terms of price Vs quality. My sister tasked me with getting her a dashcam and I bought her a nextbase item based on reviews and the fact it was on sale I recall it costing under £100 and that was including an SD card purchased alongside it.

Don't suppose you remember the model? One thing to watch for is that many dashcams can absolutely destroy DAB radio reception.
There are many different types of 'fixes', from installing ferrite cores round the power cable, to people wrapping the cam in tin foil! Some people have reported varying degrees of success buying better quality aftermarket power supply units and cables, but it is often a bit hit and miss.
Either way, it still doesn't appear that the industry acknowledges it as an issue as such. I would suggest that if you have DAB in your car and like to use it, then buy from somewhere which has a no questions asked refund policy.
Have a google round to see!

Here's one website forum for example discussing the issue, but as I said, there's loads on the net about it.
