Trawling the websites for a cheap car I've come across a BMW 116i advertised for under £1000 - obviously a typo.

Where does the law stand on this? Could I push this?

Nope, advert is an invitation to treat not an offer though consumer protection act may come into play to your benefit.

Lets not get carried away-the 1 series is a very decent car-it is just too expensive.
