Just been to fill up at Sainsburys, unleaded, at 81.9p/litre. When I'd filled it up I noticed the price of super unleaded...also 81.9p/litre! So get the jerry cans out and start stockpiling it before Sainsburys realise all the others have put their prices up!
Don't blame us if your engine packs up-Your P&J deserves better.

Also if you spend over £50 ( i think) on your weekly shop you get a little voucher entitling you to 5p off a litre of fuel.
My car does not like it though and its only a Focus.
Not any more they don’t. As I found out after spending £50+ in the store and then filling up with another fifty quid’s worth of diesel.

Yep C_C, found that out after filling up at Sainsbury's on the Longwater Park estate, Norwich. & it was more expencive than the Garage back home on A11.
Not too pleased.
They stopped it, I think in Jan. but quietly forgot to tell the customers.
Yep that’s the one.
What is more some of the tomatoes I purchased were rotten.

They stopped the 5p off a litre at the end of Jan, but had the 3p off a litre for the 1st 2 weeks of Feb, when they stopped it completely.
They had a 4-page A5 brochure in all their stations since mid-December explaining what was happening and when and why.
K
P.S. - I don't work for Sainsburys or associated in any way. I got caught out too - but fortunately only when they dropped it to 3p. I complained at the time and above is what they told me - and showed me the brochures - which i have confess I had seen many times but just ignored.

The Sainsburys in Derby stopped doing this in February. Its all these school vouchers instead now.

Oh the irony! To get the school "activity" vouchers, you need to buy more petrol.
Better run little Tarquin to school in the 4x4 so as to use up more fuel in order to get more vouchers for sports equipment...Gassing Station | The Pie & Piston Archive | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
