Anyone had one of these?

Did see the old dears in high vis at the side of the road sitting in their deckchairs.
Probably the same bunch that think it's ok to drive their Jags and Range Rovers absolutely drunk late at night as there are no buses. The last 2 weeks of coming home late on my Vespa has seen some unbelievable stuff, including turning right onto the wrong side of the road and not realising for a good 100 yards. Then hit 60 odd in a 40 on the straights then hit the brakes as soon as they think a corner is coming up and crawl along at 10mph as well as weaving all over the road and hitting the kerb several times.
Anyhow, I tried that speed on the same lane last night, a vicious S bend in a residential area, and could not get near it. Well I could if I wanted to roll the car.
So watch out for concerned citizens who are supposedly trained to use laser guns.

I absolutely despise this form of vigilante behavior, only one stop short of joining the Klu Klux Klan. The police are so fond of saying let us do our job and then they support this sort of thing.
Only exists because there's a obviously a need, but of course there's a absolutely guaranteed and completely foolproof way to stop you ever personally being affected though. See if you're smart enough to work out what that is...

But I didn't, and couldn't. That is the point.

You need to post up a map of the area you were " caught speeding " to prove it is impossible to speed there . If the community has a concern about speeding then that suggests it may be an issue .
I imagine you never speed ?
Every night I walk my dog along a 30 mph limit road , in town , where people seem to think it is ok to do 60 mph because it is 10 pm and therefore the law doesn't apply . I'm no angel , but I am tempted to suggest cameras should be installed on that road .

ExactlyI have a 30 limit outside my house, which ends with NSL only about 50m further up. So everyone within sight of the NSL signs starts accelerating loooong before they reach my house.
The result? Making the dash across the road with my kids to school frequently involves grabbing them back from the road, or rushing them across because someone has come round the corner at 50+ and is accelerating towards us, despite it still being a 30 limit.
Considering getting a speed gun and sitting out front, see what percentage are doing more than 30. I reckon it's 90%.
There's plenty of NSL roads to play on. Speeding in a 30 limit is simply not on
Take your concerns about drink driving to the police, as well as your concerns about incorrect reporting of speed being kept on their files for a year.
Go down their road with a dashcam or helmet cam.
Very often when I go through villages someone hammers up behind me when I'm doing the speed limit and they've either just pulled off a residential driveway or they turn onto one. Whether the locals are speeding or drunk, they feel all right so think they're in control. Everyone else is the problem because a car going past at 30mph when you're standing at the roadside can seem a bit fast at close proximity and when people not paying attention are taken by surprise by a car they assume the driver must be speeding and it's nothing to do with their lack of attention, poor driving or intoxication.

However it only seems to happen where the limit is questionable.
If you do the training they show you when the radar gun can get it wrong too, no point issuing the letter in those cases

Spotted one of these groups when gearing up for an overtake last week (CBR 600 so very easy), pulled offside and noticed them (with actual police!) at the same time....
Decided instead to stay behind the car I was going to overtake, but in 1st gear - sounds faster with the full exhaust system....No matter how many times they targeted me and followed me with the gun I wasn't speeding - with the police there I am now hoping that they've explained that speed doesn't equal sound...not been there since thankfully!
