What brand of rear axl. on a 1996?

Want to put a LSD slip dif. on my cat. from 1996. Does anyone know the brand of the rear axl on that model? Does it come from a Sierra?

If it's a solid rear axle (as opposed to a De Dion) it will almost definitely be a Morris Ital. That's what I have on my 1996 Classic SE.

As far as I know, they never used Sierra bits. Prior to the Marina/Ital axles, they used Escort MkI and II axles.

The Sierra is/was an independent rear end, and the sierra diff is used with the de-dion.. doubt you'll be able to put a sierra diff inside a live casing; if you're live axle, you'll need a diff that fits your axle, whatever that is..
