Apart from the obvious PH response of give it to me.........I have 2 bottles of 1982 St Emillion Grand Cru and if they are worth a bit, wouldn't mind selling them. Have any PHers sold wine, had it valued ???

1982 is a very good year. St Emilion Grand Cru is mostly pretty average stuff, but there are one or two wines that have a value above that status. That said, as the previous poster says, provenance is vital when selling wine. If they've been under your stairs, nobody will pay good money for them.

Personally I'd just drink it. Can't find an accurate valuation on winesearcher but it puts it somewhere between £35 for 1998 to £83 for 1955 so at a guess £50 a bottle if you could prove storage conditions so not worth anything once you pay fees etc.

Depends where you are but most major auction houses have specialist auctions a few times a year.
