I have the ACT manifolds. Ceramic coated them before fitting. £1k.

Rest of the exhaust needs doing too. I have already added an extra cherry bomb at the rear inc new trims and some dB killers - all stainless - for around £180. Just the centre bits to change now. Cherry bombs and X pipe are around £150 just need to list out the connecting pipes. A friend will weld it up for me.

So I reckon it'll end up around £1.5k.

This is on Wendy a series II 350i with, originally, just a centre box going into a single pipe.

I used JP Exhausts at Macclesfield for my over the axle back pipe.

Because of a cock up on their side I actually got it quite cheap.

If I were to eventually change the manifolds to st/st I would take them off and let them have them as a pattern though; just because of a comment made by the fabricator of some difficulties they have had in the past with them.

Interesting that JP said they would do you manifolds. They make ACT's stuff and have flatly refused in the past.

Wendy is an over axle exhaust too.

Yeah I can relate to that!

If I had to replace everything again I would take it somewhere that can make them up on the car. I ended up getting mine altered myself for a perfect fit .I even sent the old exhaust as a pattern and the replacement still didn't fit!

Lots of very good exhaust fabricators around, no need to go to a very average one who's living on past reputation.

These chaps have done end to end systems on two of my TVRs, both without patterns. My V8 car was after JP advised it would be impossible to install a system on the car.

Not expensive either.

I built my own using bends supplied by JP.

They also supplied the centre box custom built.

Nice.

Just don't give them anything difficult...
