Hi Folks,
Hoping someone can help me come to some sensible decision. I have a leased Kia Sportage which will be 4 years old in Sept and due to be returned. I have been offered to keep the lease on for a further 6 or 12 months at a reduced rate (£50 pm cheaper). The downside is if I keep it on I have to MOT and put two new tyres on the car. Still makes sense money wise. Had the brake pads replaced last year and car still had 3 years left of a 7 year warranty. Am I mad to extend a lease car into its 5th year? Thanks in advance for any help.

It depends whether you like the car or not. £50pm is not really a lot, but better than nothing, reliability should not be a problem.

How much would a shiny new one be in comparision?

Presumably you will have to pay a "deposit/advance rental".

New one is costing around the same monthly payments as I am on just now with an advance rental. Money wise I think it will work out the same if I were to keep it or send it back.

My other issue is I may struggle to have a new one delivered in time so may have to rent for a few weeks which is inconvenience.

Decisions decisions!!
