Evening folks

Hoping someone can advise on the following (1st new car from dealer so haven't been on this particular merry-go-round before!

I ordered a new car (Audi) last month and agree a part ex value for my current vehicle as part of the deposit. Originally I was told they had found a car at another dealer and that it would be delivered in about a week. Turned out to be the wrong car (saloon not estate) so now waiting for one to be built somewhere in Germany.

I am now driving my old car around like it is wrapped in cotton wool as I really don't want to end up spending any money on it besides fuel before new one turns up. Unfortunately I do about 2k miles a month so it is likely to have at least 5k more on the clock when I finally hand it over (and will be very close to MOT time).

Anyone know if the dealer is likely to reassess the value or if it is fixed?

I think that they said that it would be going to auction due to mileage so hoping that it won't be an issue.

What has it been valued at?
If its an old snotter, they probably won't care too much, but if it's a good few grands worth, it could take a heavy book drop plus the mileage adjustment.
Ask them maybe?

£4.5k, so not high value.

I was avoiding asking the dealer in case it gave them an opportunity to squeeze more money out of me.

Their cock up so they should honour it, we would.

But really you need to have the conversation now.

+2, been in that situation from the dealers side; we just suck it up, our cock up.
