Looking into options to follow on from my first car...
Discussion
So when i passed my test i got a 1.0l Corsa base model on PCP that wasnt 0% and had no options (thanks parents financial acumen)
Ive paid it off and driven it for 6 years, its still only got 29k miles on it and i own it outright now. 2 issues with the coil pack in that time.
My issue is my commute is straight up the M1 for 20mins each day, and a 1.0 corsa with no aircon is getting quite painful. I also dont feel i get good MPG as it has to work so hard to get to 70 on uneven terrain (slight inclines)
So im looking at my options to replace it. 2 of my friends have fiesta ST, the new model, and i really like it, seems reasonable as a next step, however, last weekend ford told me they have had to pre reg every ST and there are no reasonable lease or finance deals available, and finance on used ones is fixed 10% APR, which is a no go.
I want to budget around £200 a month on the car payments, which led me to believe i need to just sit tight with the corsa and in Jan or whatever of 2018 i can go for the new ST, assuming its any good. Outside of this i didnt see many options. I love the GT86, but its closer to 300+ a month which i dont want to put into a car right now.
I dont need any level of practicality, just i drive in a straight line for that time each day and would like to have a car i can take to car meetups and such that isnt a base model hatchback.
Cheers for any insights, i already know my options for new are limited and i dont want to throw down the cash chunk on used really
