Hi,

Looking for some advice. We are about to start an extension on our home. The room will be single storey with high ceilings, 4m x 7m.

Im trying to decide what size screen I should order, and which projector to go with it. The roof is going to have 2 lanterns in it, so I need to ensure the projector throw distance will work with the position of the lanterns (probably 2m x 1.5m each).

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

There are throw distance calculators available on line. This is a good site http://www.projectorcentral.com/projection-calcula...

You also need to think about light control with the lanterns and any windows.

Night time will be fine with a projector and screen, but day time without a very bright projector you will struggle with colours washing out on all but the dullest of days.

You can motorise lantern blinds as well as windows so easy to do, just need to factor it in.

Here is some.

Ask a professional to sort it, the same as you would for electrics, roofing, conveyancing etc.

Yes you can probably cobble something together yourself and save a few quiz but at what cost? Loads of you time, having kit from loads of different suppliers with varying warranty, and the risk of getting caught out by issues they will have seen loads of times and also missing out on all their years of experience and tips they have picked up on what kit works together, things to avoid etc.

One point of contact from design to installation to after sales, a system guaranteed to work and be easy to use and no hassle.

Worth a few quid of anyone's money if you ask me.
