Word has it on FB that P51 Miss Velma has crashed due to engine failure.
Seems pilot ok however no more details at the moment.
Not good.
Now reported as a forced landing rather than a crash. Undercarriage damaged & apparently very little else.
Pilot confirmed as being perfectly ok.

Yep, very expensive.........engine, prop, fuselage, wings, all needing rebuilding......its only time and money!!

And yes, superb job by the pilot, incredible speed of thought in so few available seconds, to change direction, see where he was going to put it, start the gear cycling up so it wouldn't dig in and end up on its back, whilst still flying it down........and he was able to walk away.....
