Seems to be happening across many threads! Does this mean I have to pay to view pictures on PH now?

"For important info, please go to www.photobucket.com/P500"

I wonder if that link explains it...?

clap

I did read it, still none the wiser!

Maybe I should rephrase my original question:-
" Why are people link to photos which can't be displayed? Are they not looking at the thread afterwards?"

Have you thought of reading what that image actually says, it might give you a HUGE clue to what is going on wink

So why are people using it if it can't be seen? Are they not checking afterwards?

It's only a recent change to their Terms, so last week all images showed fine. Now they don't unless you pay for a Pro plan of whatever they are calling it.

Basically move to flickr or imgur.

How will my opening up an account with one of those companies enable me to see posts by other people using pb? confused

It won't. They need the Botophucket paid account for their photos to be visible.

I'm not sure if polodriver understands. Mate - you will never see the pictures again, cos the people who posted them, won't stump up $400 to the company. They're gone. Dead. Finito.

Basically, Photobucket have ruined all forums, everywhere, for everyone.

For the short term anyway.

11+ years on Photobucket and I've just deleted my account. wkers. If they charged £40 per year then I probably wouldn't mind paying that. $499 or whatever it is for the same service most sites offer for free is ridiculous.

Truth be told, I reckon PB is dying and the owners are just trying to make one last ditch attempt to make what they can out of it before pulling the plug.

I think I've been paying Phototobucket £20 a year for the last 8 or 9 years

All my images shared are still displayed everywhere

I have till Jan 2018 to decide if those images I've shared over the years on many forums are woth paying $400 per year to keep them alive

The likely out come is I won't
