Hi all,

Stupid question alert... I have a mk7 Golf Estate SE. Is there supposed to be a toolkit in the boot, around the spare wheel? The reason I'm asking is that it's going in for a service/inspection on Friday and the dealership have asked that I put any locking wheelnut on the passenger seat (as normal) when I take it in.

I'm ashamed to say that I can't remember ever seeing a toolkit in the boot or if I put the locking nut on the seat at its first service paperbag

I'd guess there should be the usual things like a jack etc. but I can't for the life remember ever seeing it.

Cheers smile

On ours (MK7 Estate GT) the toolkit is located in the cubby hole on the left of the boot rather than under the floor.

That's useful to know, thanks! By cubby hole, do you mean the small space behind a plastic divider (one on each side)? As in the image below?

Ah no, I mean behind the door with two round turn screws; behind the tail of your arrow. I'm not with the car today otherwise I would send a picture.

Found it! Thanks for the help smile. I can't have put the locking wheelnut out at the last service, as I've definitely never seen that toolkit before. Outwitted by a toolkit... paperbag
