Just for completeness so TVRees's extremely valuable list is as accurate as possible. At the moment on page 5 there is a little uncertainty as to fuel filters, and the S1 isnt listed. I believe the same part fits all the V6S cars. I have the Fram G3744 down as accurate for mine and just bought an equivalent to that number and it is right for mine.
Before clarifying that and making it common to all V6's, and adding S1 to the list, does anybody know any different?

(Minor point but if you own an S1, the 2.8 is far more susceptible to fuel pressure variations than the later 2.9 cars with their electronic adjustment. If you have had fuel tank or pump problems then more regular injector filter changes may be necessary)

??????

Mine has a pump, a filter, and a mechanical pressure regulator (with vacuum correction). No electronics to go wrong: just plumbing and mechanicals to go wrong.

The electronic injection doesn't have any means to compensate for fuel pressure variation, so consistent pressure is just as much an issue. As I know from recent bitter experience.

If it has closed loop EGO feedback then this would provide some compensation.

My S2 has a Mahle KL9 filter, as mentioned for the V8S.
Now added the S1 filters to the list too. If all are the same, I can combine both into one row later.

So the V8s still uses Banjo bolt fittings like the V6 cars............

Not hose barbs like the Griffiths and Chimaeras?

Might go for that next time, easier than getting those copper washers to seal?

Dont know about that on the 2.9 Mike, but not sure it would be a good idea on the 2.8 in view of the position of the filter, I think the fuel pipes would be much more vulnerable.
My last two filters have come with new copper seals, I still annealed them just in case!

Position isn't much different, guess for the number of Times I change it it's not really an issue scratchchin

I'd like to get the whole lot (filter and pump) into a cleaner, more accessible position. Toying with the idea of pump in tank, got as far as buying one of these

I did wonder about that myself, it started when I was trying to get a radial sender to work correctly when a linear sender is fundamentally better. There seems little doubt that getting all the fuel system out from underneath would be a step in the right direction, it is a pigs ear at the moment. Using the 'landrover' one (if it suits the tank dimensions), gets rid of parts availability problems as well. Hope it works, let us know.

Nope, V8S uses the barbs as per Griffith/Chimaera. Much better setup!

Stupid banjo crap.....
