Council fines & the 14 day rule.
Discussion
Simple question.
Do council fines fall under the 14 day rule? Where if issued after 14 days of the alleged offence the NIPs can be invalidated.
Long story short, got a bus lane fine, pretty much bang to rights, took a wrong turn, fine has been posted 20 days after offence. Wondering if there is a simple way of saving myself £30 (I know
).
It was in Scotland(Glasgow City Council) if that makes a difference.

Well s
t that makes me slightly less embarrassed, that's the one that got me, was idle mindedly driving around looking for a parking space.

Ah, cheers SS2
I'll pay it later today then, was just looking for an easy out if I'm honest, there is a half dozen pepipoo results on Google of people trying to appeal that camera based on the signage but in general don't seem to be successful.
Just a bit of a kick in the teeth, I wouldn't mind if I had intentionally tried to take a sneaky shortcut and got caught red handed, but I think I have genuinely missed the rather s
t road markings on the junction before that road. Ah well.

My wife nearly got caught by that one recently. She was trying to get in to the Buchanan Galleries car park but it wasn't open. She nearly drove straight on then noticed the bus gate. Problem is, Cathedral Street is one way and if you can't get in to the car park you're kind of stuck. She ended up reversing back very slowly through the lights and turrning down to George Square. Fortunately it was Sunday morning and the roads were quiet.Do council fines fall under the 14 day rule? Where if issued after 14 days of the alleged offence the NIPs can be invalidated.
