What's the concensus on a 2005 28k miles yellow 996 GT3 in great condition full service history 2 previous owners new rear tyres rear shocks just had full service priced at £64k from a private seller.... it would only be used at weekends, would the car keep its value or even increase in a year or two if looked after?

Sounds like pretty good value to me. I'd expect a car with bucket to be more, and a clubsport one quite a bit more...

Future difficult to tell, though I would be surprised if they went any lower

That looks lovely but, unless I'm missing something - 06 plate?

Has it been left unregistered for a couple of years when new?

Could well be an absolute cracker. A proper PPI will confirm whether it is or not. Because as we all know, only a fool buys a £64k GT3 without doing their due diligence. At the very least you'll need to have a rev range check done, and then a full inspection of the bodywork to ensure all the panels are where they should be and that they're original too.

As for future values ? Well they've pretty much plateaued, not convinced they'll increase a huge amount in the next two years, but if you maintain it properly, no reason why you shouldn't get your money back come sale time.

Looks like a great car, with limited mileage and a little luck you'll probably get to own it for nothing if you just keep it for a year or two

i 'know' (Facebook buddies) of the owner when it was WE55ACH - contact Paul @ Mulholland Racer, think he only sold it a couple of months ago though. Obviously plates can change hands.

Not sure if he posts on here on not

I owned a Cyprus GT3.

There were several imported after production had ceased and all the UK cars had been sold. Mostly in speed yellow, all full UK spec and with a high spec at that.

Mine was an 05 and came via camtune (?) others I saw at the time were 55 and 06 registrations.

I fell in love with the colour instantly, a pig to keep clean and I had to wear ear defenders on a run because of the boomy sound in the cabin (TADTS) as Porsche Hatfield told me. Ah memories..........................

Sorry to hijack your thread, Kevin. I have a very similar question.

What's the concensus on a 2003 48k miles 996 GT3 in good condition, FSH (OPC and specialist) 5 previous owners (i'd be 6th owner). Just had major service including new coil packs, brake fluid change and gearbox service. Car is on SoR with a dealer taken in part-ex and advertised at 64k. It will only be used at weekends and on limited mileage policy circa 5k p/a, would the car keep its value or even increase in a year or two if looked after? Not out to make a fortune but don't want to lose the shirt off my back either.

Looks like Mk2's are now more expensive than Mk1's.

My old one for sale again. Must be on 11/12 owners now. What's the best guess on price?

I bought one new from Camtune --- a lovely car with a very high spect and enough of a saving from list to make it worth chipping in my M3CSL for ... £32k !!

Also Speed Yellow ...

Hmmmm, that needs something to brighten it up a tad. Let me think now ... scratchchin

I know, some nice GT3 decals along the sides would do it biggrin

Evening Steve, hope you're keeping well ?

biggrin

Couldn't agree more!

I'm good thanks Henry, hope you are too! Wishing I'd kept it now, but then I wouldn't have had loads of fun in the Caterham! C'est la vie!

BTW the yellow one above looks stunning!

Is it not me or has the 996 gt3 prices had another increase? There are a few cars hitting £90k and one or two low mileage cars selling at £100k!

Granted they are clubsport models but hand on heart I would prefer a car with bucket seats and without a roll cage.
