Do I need to have Porsche warranty to buy Porsche assist?

Thinking of diditching then warrenty but I qyuite like assist, is it possible to get one without the other?

Don't think the above is correct. You can have Porsche Assist with OPC Warranty or leave it off and have warranty only.

OP keep the warranty. Well worth having on an old 997.1 turbo if you're using regularly. If not being used daily or not being driven hard probably not needed

I've said so because, I used to have Porsche Assist on my 996 when I was having it serviced at the OPC until 2 years ago. It was out of warranty for many years by then. That said, this was in the Netherlands.

I was just reading the blurb on my contract, and it states quite clearly that if the warranty expires, the the assist is no longer valid.

On expiration of my 3 year Warranty on my Cayenne, I have purchasesd just Porsche Assist without the warrantyextension being required, I did it all over the phone at a cost of £275 for 2 years including Europe.

£275 for two years , surely this is no better than breakdown cover or am i wrong?
