Alfa romeo brera or 159 or hot hatch for 5/6k

Really cant decide between a good hot hatch or a brera/159 as great value but are they worth it reliably speaking which engines for alfa romeo best or bwat to get a good 200hp hot hatch

I pondered exactly this for several weeks. I decided the answer was Mk5 Golf GTI.

Will have an Alfa one day, but it'll have to wait until the budget is bigger.
