I need a new one, but what one?
Halfrauds have one for £30 which just states for cars over 2000cc.
What amp rating is needed

A TVR battery needs a fair bit of juice… I've seen cheapo jump leads melt...

I've got the Halfords one, and it works fine.

Gunson starter charger from Argos about ten years ago.
A bit more than a cheapo charger but it gets you going sooner when the battery is on it's last legs

Me too. Although it helps to have a battery that isn't knackered, but that's another story .

I just bought an Accumate & Wall mount from Ebay for about £42. I've fitted it to the garage wall and just plug the car in when I'm not using it.

It seems to work really well. It's a great solution for those that don't get to use their pride and joy as much as they would like

I bought an 'Absaar' charger in the end.

Powerful, good quality and has useful engine start facility.

It's charged my battery from flat to full in an evening..sorted
