CL600 biturbo

Hi All

The big Merc has let me down tonight - failed cam position sensor and now wont start. OBD confirmed CPS (cam not crank)

Any idea where it is positioned? Google no help!

That's not good news, hope you get it sorted.
As a matter of interest do you have it serviced by a main MB dealer?

Hello OP,

On my old E55, the CPS was between the firewall and the block.

Its a 40 quid part and a good specialist will fix it in 10 minutes.

the other thing to note is that you can try the car a few times on the key and eventually it will start - so alls not lost but your friends will think you have a flat battery or no petrol!

Bought the part - just gotta work out how to get to it
Its underneath the 2 chargecoolers which feed the turbos!!
