I took part in a sprint at Brands on Saturday and had a fantastic time. My Rover Cooper seemed to hold together well. Having completed the practice laps I realised that I was running too soft all round - particularly up front. Upon removing the frt konis that have run v. few miles I tried to adjust them. When turned to full +'ve they had little resistance in bump or rebound, when turned to full -'ve they had similar bump characteristics but incredibly damped rebound. This is not what I was expecting!!

The question is - are they knackered - or am i missing something?

It may be me, but I've never liked Konis because:

1. They are hard to adjust during an event.
2. The principle of operation seems to be that they are softer on bump than on rebound.

That's why I always use SPAX and I've never had any problems with them. So easy to adjust on the car, even at night on a rally it takes just a few seconds per damper.

Selby,

That is more than generous, i would certainly like to take you up on the offer, i would be more than happy to pay you the going rate. sorry for the slow reply, i have been stuck in a wind tunnel the last few days. What is the best way to exchange addresses. My phone number is 07950 522923, i live in Reading which is not a million miles from you i beleive.

Regards

Tim
