Hey Guys

I'm wondering if one of you knowledgeable lot can help me out.

4 weeks ago I ordered a VW Tiguan on a PCH through a VW dealership. I was told there is about a 20 week lead time on these cars. No deposit was paid, I've signed a finance proposal form and a car order form. None of which came with any terms and conditions of the contract.

Fast forward to today, I haven't even received a estimated build date yet. Never mind a confirmed build date yet. I'm wanting to cancel the order, so does anyone know if there would be any penalties if I cancelled?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

You said you have not signed any contracts or paid any deposits. There's your answer.

I thought the car order form WAS the contract ???

I wouldn't define a form that doesn't outline any terms and conditions as a contract.

Have you signed the VW finance forms, or just ones from a broker? You'd have to read the t&cs on the broker form but i suspect they'll want to keep the admin fee..

I ordered direct from VW. So there was no fee to pay. I signed a finance proposal form which had no t&c's on them other than it stating that signing the forms gives VWFS permission to do a credit search.

I think your fine to cancel. I did the same with an Octavia VRS.
