I'm trying to upload an advert for a car I'm selling, but when it comes to adding photos, all it does is give you the camera setting..to go take pics. You can't upload stored photos off your phone or tablet! I spent some time yesterday finding a nice spot to take some quality pictures, and now can't use them!
When you click 'Photos' on the advert creation page it states it will take you to the mobile site, cancel or continue... and that's when the fun starts!

It never used to be this way, did it? I seem to remember just be able to upload images already saved on your phone? I'm annoyed. I'm tired today, so I'm either missing something obvious, or eBay is bloody useless mad

Are you on Apple/Android/Other?

I'm using Apple and if I click the camera icon within the photos section I can choose camera or photo library.

Just spotted this bit. Why use the website and not the app?

I found this, it''s only when listing cars for sale. Everything else it lets you use photos from your camera roll. Really bloody annoying.

Do it from the website on a PC and it will let you load photo's

Be aware though it seems impossible to amend the advert once it's posted. I have a car up for sale and I neglected to say how long the MOT is, and eBay won't let me amend it.

My inbox now now full of questions about the MOT....and offers to buy the car for half what I'm asking!

I started by using an iPad Air...that didn't work, so I tried my phone, and HTC M ONE, and that didn't work!

I do have a laptop that I rarely use these days, I guess I should dust it off and give that a go.
But why do they have to make such a simple task of uploading an advert so complicated?

Thanks for the advice everyone.

Weird, when I access via the app and click add photos, I've got two options: 'Take a new photo' and 'Select from gallery' and when listing from a PC via the full website it gives two options 'Add from Computer' and 'Add from Mobile Device'

Edit: I take that back, when I changed it to list a car via my mobile, it took me to the full website and wouldn't allow me to add photos I'd already taken, but from a PC I can use photos saved to the PC
