Redeeming mortgage - exit fee's
Discussion
I'm selling a house, with a B2L mortgage on it.
Email from the agent this morning - the purchaser would like to complete 2 days before the fixed term of my mortgage finished - invoking a fairly hefty exit fee. Obviously I will try and negotiate a later completion date with the purchaser - if this is not successful - is it worth asking the mortgage company to waive / reduce the exit fee? Is thus unheard of?
(I understand a contract is a contract etc, but £'000,s Fee's for a couple of days will sting somewhat).
