W202 Key query

Not sure about it being a Classic just yet but I like it.
I have recently acquired a W202 95 plate Elegance. I had a W202 C200 sport, a W123 series which I restored and a boring old rusty w203 cdi.
The car came with one very tired flip key. Changing the batteries helped to cure the remote locking problem but general driving and probably 'charging up ' the reservoir helped too as it had been sat for a couple of months. (I presume it's a similar vacuum system to the W123 series, which was easy to work on.
Can anyone recommend a replacement key service? Is it possible to do without leaving the car with a specialist? I live in the middle of no where.
