Bit of a long shot asking this on here, but here goes anyway.

Does anyone know where I can get prescription safety glasses made up and sent to me within a couple of days?
Used to be an easy thing but the local lab no longer does a 24 hour service.

I'm looking for something like this.

Any high street optician chain will get them made up, but 24 hours? Not so sure.

Yes, it's the short notice part that seems to be the problem, was never an issue before.

Just trying to find somewhere online, or an independant, that can offer a quick service and mail them.

As above it's the time scale that's the problem.

They are specialist labs who appear to be a law unto themselves, sometimes a week, sometimes a month.

And unfortunately the optician has no control over this.

Try ringing round local manufacturing opticians (these are not high street opticians but the places that make the spectacles) some are licensed to produce safety eyewear.

We used to use these www.axisoptical.co.uk some 10-12 years ago for a quick turnaround when patients were desperate

Thank you, I'll give them a try.

Apparently they can't do it before the end of the week.

Does anyone know of any other companies?

Why can't you you wear safety goggles over your prescription specs until such time as your prescription safety specs arrive ?

I do this all the time

Not 24 hours but I had probs getting 'wraparound' style prescription glasses.
Of all places found some Nike frames similar OP pic in ASDA opticians - really cheap too and had no probs with them over 2 years.
Would use again - prob 1 week to pickup if I recall.

I've used these in the past, decent service and price, use them for cycling.

Thanks for the suggestion, but apparently no one does short notice anymore, at least none that I could find.

Ended up just ordering from Boots, 2 to 3 weeks delivery.
