cox atmos carb'

Has any soul technical information regarding the workings of a cox atmos carb'. This carb' is fitted to my Humber 14/40 of 1928 vintage, the standard carb' of the time.
The float bowl fills OK from the autovac but is not delivering fuel from there to the engine. From the fuel bowl a second chamber carries, or should, the fuel but is not working, a proper mystery. When the second chamber is filled with fuel manually the engine fires up and runs until that fuel runs out ???
