Anyone else playing?

TBH I'd given up on mobile games and have been spending my 'quiet reflection' time reading the news, or heaven forbid reading e-mails, they're all much of a likeness these days but I really like this one.

It's not exactly finished, still technically "early access" which can be a bit frustrating as you progress as some of the features of the game aren't complete - don't bother trying to build vehicles, they don't exist yet.

In a nutshell, it's a top down survival game, but the pace and mental requirement is far more adult than most of the screen hammering action games on the app store.

You start as a man in pants alone in the forest, there are zombies and wolves to contend with, you've got 24 hours (real time) before a hoard of Zombies over-run your position (hence the name) to build a shelter and clothe and feed yourself. You can create simple weapons and tools and build yourself a little hut (or a big one if you want) when the hoard arrives they generally run about the place wrecking the joint but they don't destroy everything.

It's quite hard to start as there's little instruction what to do and you'll die of dehydration whilst collecting iPhones and Gold but it's a clever, slow-placed cool little game.

Downloaded it yesterday, good little game.

I've only died once so far due to thirst, thankfully i had stored a lot of items in a box so only lost what i was carrying.

Met another player who tried to kill me even though i was un-armed and naked (this was just after i had revived myself.

Enjoying it so far, thankfully i downloaded it on my ipad, if it'd been to my phone i wouldn't get much work done today

Really good game, thanks for the recommendation.

I have my first horde of zombies due shortly and typically my gun has just run out of ammo! I've only come across one other player so far who attacked me but as I was armed he didn't last long.

I can see me playing this for a while.

downloaded this too

none of the players you meet are real i think, they are all bots according to the internet hence they always attack you.

so far i'm having great success just farming for wood and stone to make planks to upgrade my modest home so that i can be better protected.

got loads of food and water saved up

top tip, do not install the shower , once you do you start smelling periodically and its a right pain in the arse as zombies and wolves etc charge at you all the time. if you dont build it you dont smell. it also takes up two bottles of water per use!

Balls, already built it...
If i demolish it will it stop the wash cycle?

Accessed the 2nd of 2 army baracks, opened the door and a hoard of zombies rushed me - screamed like a girl and ran away

Yes it's online multiplayer.

I've only ever played connected to Wi-Fi so am not sure of data.

I highly recommend it if you can, it's one of the best mobile games I've ever played.

I'm yet to try an army barracks. I need to focus on one thing and finish my shelter because I keep getting distracted and as a result progress is slow.

I've also built a shower so stuck in the smell/wash routine...

I discovered this game over the weekend, seems like a bit of a gem. Currently all players you bump into are randomly generated AI. My first horde arrived at my base yesterday, I lasted all of 7 seconds before they slaughtered me. I've visited Bunker A and got some great equipment (there didn't seem to be any zombies there either). Once you've got a garden, camp fire and rain catcher you seem to settle into a good routine of gathering wood and stone to steadily improve your base.

That would explain why they just try and kill you then.

It feels quite pay to win but its keeping me amused.
