Hi,
I'm looking at a Jaguar, and by far the best pricing so far is Drive the Deal - local dealers don't seem interested in even trying to match. However, I've never used them before and so a little cautious - what's been anyone's experience of actually buying through them rather just as a price comparison tool?
Thanks.

They just pass you onto the dealer after you're happy with the quote.

Used them quite a few times. Better experience with DTD than I've had with Carwow.

Thanks, they said you get passed to a franchise dealer so it seemed low risk but it left me looking for a catch!

Happy to go through a local dealer, but if it means big savings I can't see that much of a benefit!

They had the best price I could find for a VW Tiguan but wouldn't pass me on to a dealer unless I agreed to wait the factory lead-time of 12 weeks. Once I said no, the guy who had called me from DtD basically refused to discuss the matter further.

I used Car-Wow and got 6 quotes including from my nearest and next-nearest dealers. I played them off against each other and got within a couple of hundred of the DtD price. Car arrived at the dealership 8 days after I ordered it and that was with a couple of options and in the colour we wanted.

I get the impression DtD usually refer you to a dealer a long way away, and certainly with Car-Wow the lowest prices came from dealers furthest away. I don't fancy the idea of buying a car at long distance, or having someone drive it to me so was happy to pay a little more to get the car locally.
