What would you do....

Looking for some serious help/advice
I'm completely undecided and in the fence about what to do with my current car situation
I've currently got my Suzuki sj on eBay, and hoping it sells to clear some space on the drive
I've also got a mk2 golf vr6 turbo (272bhp/272ft/lb) it puts the power down very well and surprises a lot of cars, which I do have a lot of fun, it's a bit of a sleeper
I love the car, and have a lot of fun with it
And I do think I would regret selling it, however, a friend has made me an offer to buy it, and I have spoke for a while about trying something else (I do enjoy trying our different cars)
So my question is, if I was to sell it, what fun car could I replace it with, if I had a budget of around 10-15k? Cheaper is always nice, but that's the maximum I'd like to spend
The car will just be a 'fun' toy
I have a daily and I don't commute, so it can be purely something for fun
I look forward to the suggestions and see what people think
Thanks for reading

What are your thoughts about body style, want something completely different like a 2 seater or stay with a hatchback?
Also era, do you like older cars or do you want something more modern?
If it helps you steer your decision I sold my mk1 golf and regretted it ever since. Mine was bone stock standard and I loved the timewarp feeling every time I got in it

It sounds like you enjoy having a play with your cars so I'd go down a few routes & the number of cars is endless you need to workout what you want the car to do.
Alternatively get a bike the performance from a cooking model will be way beyond anything I'll list here & the smiles per mile factor is amazing you could have a bike all the gear with lessons/test etc for under 6k.

Sorry for the inactivity, been quite busy at work
That's some amount of options and a lot of cars I wouldn't have even considered!
I'm still looking into a few of them, I do like the idea of an Elise, but my worry is I'd find it slow, I know they come into themselves on back roads
Has anyone thought felt the same and then changed their mind after owning one?
To throw another curve ball in, I'm currently saving for a house, so I'm not sure if I should save for that and put up with the cars I have for the time being (still selling golf and sj) but keep my clio 172 converted kangoo van and S1 106 Rallye
Cheers!

I totally agree on the lotus, came to one form a 540i and prior to that an EP3 and 335i.That's some amount of options and a lot of cars I wouldn't have even considered!

I collected my exige (only a N/A) a few weeks ago and in outright pace on open roads it may be slightly slow, however that's what I wanted.....After picking up a load of points the Exige actually feels far faster than you're actually going and comes into its own on narrower, windier roads.
Give it a go and I'm sure that you won't be disappointed although try to stick with one of the Toyota engined cars

Thats good to know that it sounds like it wouldn't be a regret buying one!I collected my exige (only a N/A) a few weeks ago and in outright pace on open roads it may be slightly slow, however that's what I wanted.....After picking up a load of points the Exige actually feels far faster than you're actually going and comes into its own on narrower, windier roads.

An exige is a bit more than I plan to spend at the current time, and it be an n/a Elise I go for
I assume they hold their value well (seeing 51 plates still at 14k)
