Thruxton - This Weekend
Discussion
I went about 3 years ago....big let down. It cost something like £20 to get in (park in a field with a slope, it would be interesting when wet). For that you get to stand on a grass bank and see about 10 seconds worth of track and not even the best bit....Which is the super fast stuff round the back (only marshals and TV see that!) I think its an extra £10 for a pit pass which gives nicer area (more room to move about) and a good view into the garages but less view of the track.
I got there super early and had to que for 30mins likewise getting out. Food and drink are super expensive and taste look like shit....take your own.
My advice would be to stay a home watch it on telly and spend the entrance fee an some Czech lager (Budvar) and snacks of your choice...

Thanks Andy, much appreciated.
£21! Castle Combe is more like £8! Ah well, I guess it's not a lot of money to pay to.......sit in a big traffic queue, watch some bikes, then sit in another big queue!
The only thing I hate about bike events is that you can't jump the queue - with car events, predominantly, the visitors arrive in cars so you can queue-jump!
