Wiper adjustment knob

Hi all,

the Leven wiper adjustment knob has come off on mine (from the steering column). It sounds like there is something rattling in the column so I take it that there is some sort of nut that the adjustment threads into? Any ideas on how to retrieve the nut, i.e. how to get into the column, and tips on ra-attaching it?

3 screws underneath & it pops apart, prise out the surround to the ignition first.

OK, I'll have a go. Not this weekend though as I've got my Stag Do. Not sure whether to laugh or cry.
