981 Boxster timeline

Thinking of moving on from my 996 C4Cab to a 981 Box (cue groans about 911 supremacy etc). However, I have lost the plot on whether there were facelifts during the life of the 981 and, if so, when they were and what the significant changes were.

Anyone able to enlighten me? - many thanks in anticipation....

Thanks for your help cmoose. I have also been following the thread on here about 981 high mileage - bearing in mind no facelift then it looks like not much to choose between a newer high miler and a older lower mileage?

Personally I would factor in the mileage you intend to do. If you are going to do a lot of miles I wouldn't start with a high mileage car - it might be nigh on unsaleable after a few years. On the other hand if you are doing few miles and can get a high mileage car cheaply that might be attractive.

Yes I think that's exactly where we are - only anticipating lowish mileage so could get away with a more leggy but newer car (if condition ok of course). Just to complicate things we want a yellow one, so the choice is going to be limited though!
