Ford Fiesta st-2 vs John cooper works

I'm looking for a weekend toy purely to drive down country roads for fun. I've driven an R56 cooper s and loved it to pieces and was considering purchasing the R56 JCW. But everyone on the internet is always talking about how the fiesta st is the best small hatch on the market. Should I purchase either I'll probably mod them with coil overs, black alloys(cause black is faster) sticky tyres and of course more power and a loud exhaust.

Has anyone driven both?
if yes which is more fun?

The simple answer is to test drive the Fiesta & see which one you like the best & that's the one you should buy.

I had the same dilemma 4 years ago when the fiesta was first released. I went with the mini, it has more toys and with a sports cat pops and bangs and makes you feel like a big kid.
