Grays of Westminster...

...What a bloody lovely place to do business.
Professional, courteous, enthusiastic and keenly priced.
Have heard of them over the years as being very good, and was after a 70-200 2.8.
They had 8 in stock, used, so it was worth the drive into town.
Will deffo be using them again.
That is all......

I love going into Grays. A real nirvana for a Nikon user. And downstairs is more like a museum than a shop, fantastic. Still haven't bought anything from there though. I've never found their used prices to be very competitive but always check them when I'm buying something.
ETA: Just had a quick look at their website. Think I was being kind when saying 'not that competitive'. Some of their used prices are crazy high compared to the likes of Ffordes and MPB. Many of them are close to new prices and way higher than grey import prices (a slightly unfair comparison I admit but an important consideration for little old me)

I too find their prices to be ridiculous and the descriptions of some of their products "flowery" to say the least. I'm sure they appeal to certain buyers who like "good old-fashioned service" but the one and only time I went in there I was totally underwhelmed.
MPB all day long for me.

I shall simply ignore any defamatory remarks from Mr Two!
Over the years I have come to spend more in Grays than I would care to admit. Three bodies (although two secondhand) and three lenses (two new!!) and other stuff.
Allied to the hardware is Nikon Owner - and some of their (practical) courses have been very good.
But what always suckers me in is the Secondhand Gear Room downstairs - like a sweetie shop!
