Just bought a lovely and well cared for Chimaera 500 but my mrs. Is really disliking as after half an hour or so the heat really builds up on her side and she's finding it unbearable.

It's pretty wsrm my side too, but as I'm driving it doesn't bother me too much.

She's also pretty much a roof on in the summer person too which doesn't help biggrin

Never really had this in the S.

Any recommendations to get the heat down? smile

There is a heater valve in the passenger foot well check this mine wasn't completely closing so heating on all the time. I replaced the valve (VW part) and adjusted the cable now I have cool air blowing through the cabin.

As per above, check heater settings first.

Further options are to decat the cat fully or partially - either removal of the precats or the main cat.

After that is ceramic coating of the manifolds, Y peice and front pipe. This is my preference.

Or you can wrap the same pipes but l'm not a fan of this on mild steel bare pipes.

You can also add wrap over ceramic coated pipes.

If you remove the manifolds - for what ever reason - it is worth slotting the bottom mount holes to aid fitting. Also replacing the bolts for smaller head bolts - such as ARP ones.

As above. Plus, line the entire transmission tunnel with heat shield.

Trade her in for a model with a better heat tolerance.
