Mercedes Extended Warranty

I usually live over on the Porsche Section but bought a 2005 SLK 350 petrol yesterday and need advice.

Do Mercedes have an extended warranty sysyem and recovery like Porsche do? The Slk has been lying up last two years and has about 60,000 miles on it and has not been serviced either. If there is a Warranty available to buy then I'd assume like Porsche they expect you to have it serviced, then inspected, and perhaps wait 3 months ?

I have extended warranty on mine and as you say, I'm fairly certain it needs the regular service all done at Merc. It isn't especially cheap either, £1,000 a year for a CLS63.

Having said that, if it goes wrong then I'm sure it will then seem cheap!
