I was a bit late moving money around last month which meant that the money from my savings account was transferred the same day as a payment had to be made. As both payments were made the same day I haven't been charged any fees, but I've just received a phone call from the bank to say my credit rating will be effected.

I've accidentally done this a couple of times before and I assumed that it was ok to do. Will this impact my credit rating? Or is it likely just a ploy to get me into a meeting with the bank?

They probably won't even show on your credit report, I think it only gets registered with a credit score agency if it lasts for longer period or happens on a specific dates. I've done it couple of times and it never showed up on my noddle report (free to use).
