the bulb illuminating the speedo on my 968 has blown. fortunately the one shining on the rev counter works fine so all the really important info is still available, but it does make driving through a 30 zone at night somewhat interesting. (and one night I'll probably run out of petrol cos I cant see the fuel indicator either)
I have an old 944 haynes manual which is singularly useless for the task. anyone know if this is an easy job for a cack-handed amateur or a whole dash off for a grizzled independent?

Mine went in the 968 just before the last servie. JZ Machtech did it and said it is a pretty small job -give vhem a call or post a Q on their web site

Very simple job. It is just a cse of unscrewing some screws and removing the whole binnacle.

It is easier with the steering wheel off.
