Good value leather trimmers (recommendations)
Discussion
I am restoring my XJ coupe at the moment and because of delays there is a possibility that the trimmer I chose to do the job may not be able to accommodate me in my new timescales.
Looking for some recommendations then of trimmers that people have used and have done a top quality job. I need the full works, new carpeting and headlining and complete rebuild and recovering of the seats and door panels.
Your suggestions please

These guys are very good. http://www.trimmania.com/
They have done leather and soft top work on my Merc` and my mates old classic. Excellent job.

I used to use a guy on Canvey Island, he was very reasonable and I was always pleased withteh work, was almost certainly classic trim (http://www.classic-trim.co.uk/). Bit far away for me now.
More recently I've used Richmond and James of Waterlooville, they did a fantastic job on My Gordon Keeble, not cheap but not expensive either.

I guess it depends whereabouts you are. These guys are in Essex

They did a headlining (ok it was cloth) and driver's seat for me with great results and were super-helpful. They come well recommended and many bodyshops in the area use them.

A friend of mine has recently left RR at Goodwood and started up on his own - Ian Hale at Leather Luxe Design 07496 679223 - he's on the south coast (Emsworth I think his workshop is)
That's very interesting as it's near where the car is and I'm always up for supporting the small guy. Can you ask him to contact me using the contact me option on here pleaseProbably not of interest to you as it's in Moira in South Derbyshire, but I can recommend these guys. They mainly do air cooled VWs, but it isn't all they do, and their work is excellent. In fact I am going on Thursday to book my T5 camper in.

I was looking at this 48 Chevy in their workshop a couple of weeks ago:

Just get a kit from Aldridges and get your garage to fit it. Most of us Jaguar people do. Good quality and value with it.
No thanks. The plan is for it to look nothing like original when it's done. The seats need rebuilding and some of the door trim etc is totally knackered Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
