Trying to gauge opinions without breaching rules!
Discussion
Hi All
It appears my last post breached the rules and was removed.
What I'm trying to do is get an idea of the value if i was to hang up the Ultima boots.
I put about half hour into typing the last post, only for it to get removed and lose all my wording. That included why I am considering it and the details, but I'm guessing it was considered to be close to an advert, hence the removal.
I don't want to sell it cheap but also don't want to be unrealistic. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy,
Best bet is to scour the ads to see what's out there of a similar spec/vintage. Sorry the post was removed (not by me by the way), but it did read like and ad and they belong in the classifieds I'm afraid.
Sorry to hear of your personal circumstances which cause the sale too
If it helps - from what I saw price seems right and LS7 will be attractive to buyers.

Maybe a new post asking about prices rather than mentioning you are selling? You could post as if you were thinking of buying one.. list the spec on the car you are looking at and ask everyone how much they think its worth.
Personally, its all about the car and how it was built, how it was put together and what parts are fitted.
ive seen some cars that have been rushed together and dont look finished, and others the attention to detail is amazing. All cars drive differently, and its all about detail.
i recently sold mine, and the new owner looked at 3 others as well.

Hi Dom
I think the moderators would be suspicious now if I did it that way - probably should have done that in the first place. I'm not decided yet, so will think about it over the holidays and make a decision then.
Glad you got yours sold ok. It's a beautiful car and I'm sure the new owner will be really appreciating it.
Cheers

Hi Mike
I think the way this thread has gone, you got the wrong end of the stick - I'm mulling over whether or not to sell, mostly due to my back problems and therefore lack of using the car. I'm going to think about it over the next few weeks, then make a decision. I'm sure you came with me to a car meet out Belper way in my Ultima, but that would probably have been five or six years back now!
Cheers Andy

I think the way forward is to advertise your car for what you think it is worth to you.
If it is too cheap it will sell quickly but if a little rich it may linger.
The time of year has an effect too. Leave until October and it will take time/lower value as it will sit all winter for the new owner.
Your need/desire to sell may have an influence on the price too.
Good luck, but be sure you want to sell!

no i think boosted was trying to help... you should have answered with your specs and asked who much you should be buying it for....hint hint..lolI think the way this thread has gone, you got the wrong end of the stick - I'm mulling over whether or not to sell, mostly due to my back problems and therefore lack of using the car. every car is different and the price reflects on the quality of how it was put together, not just the options
