I'm co-hosting a 80s fancy dress party in a few weeks, I didn't want to buy the other half insisted and as it's her birthday party I have to do as I'm told, for once.

Anyway I've been looking online and even visited a couple of fancy dress shops and been left rather disappointed. I don't fancy shelling out £40 on something basically made out of paper and that I'll never wear again.

I dislike the 80s in general, the usual ideas just don't interest me, ie too gun, Micheal Jackson etc just don't do it for me. I want to choose something no one else is likely to of too.

So I thought I'd see if the wonderful world of PH had any good suggestions.

Ideally I don't want any kind of face mask and don't fancy getting too warm as I'm going to be on my feet all night and it's bank holiday weekend so could be warm (though I know it could equally be cold and raining)

Funny, edgy I don't mind..

Considered this, can't find it online though and not sure if it's a bit too much for a few of the guests.
