Hey guys,

As now I'm settled I'm looking for a long term project and it's always been my dream to completely rebuild a porsche (singer style).

This is very much a very long term project and is see it being worth it for something I can work on and enjoy throughout the entirety of the project which will be 5-10 years.

Firstly I see alot of the redone porsches seem to be 964 or the later versions of the car. Would I assume that this is the model that singer use for all of its cars? And would this be a good starting point?

I am looking at starting with just a chassis, as there are a few breakers yards with damaged chassis or both the targa and coupes. As I would be planning on re-engineering the car from the bottom up as singer provide to there own cars. Is a damaged chassis worth it? For around £1000-2000.

I would be sourcing or reproducing most of the body panels, whilst updating all suspension, drive train, engine, and braking systems on the car. In other words creating a reproduction of the Singer porsche we see today.

Does anyone have any information or knowhow on anything like this sort of project? What parts to recommend and any experts on any parts I may need or contacts for what I'm trying to achieve?

Any help would be great

IIRC Singer use a 964 chassis with a 993 engine, panels etc are bespoke.
